Founder’s Message
One advantage of a small, home town operation like ours is that it can get by on charm and hands-on hard work for a while. Eventually, however, reality catches up. Like rotary phones. They look good-funky and totally retro-and the heft is great. After a while, though, it’s like holding a five pound armadillo to your head…awkward and exhausting. Those little cordless phones start to whisper to you in the night, convenience seduces, you bow to technology and, speaking from personal experience, fight happy tears the first time you get to press 1 for a customer service representative or 2 for tech support. Surrender can be a good thing.
All this by way of welcome to the New Improved Blessings Project Foundation website! There’s more content and it’s organized better, with a focus on creating visibility for the Foundation and for the organizations we support. By using the internet to promote the Blessings Project Foundation, Inc. and the efforts of our grantees, we hope to broaden our impact and at the same time to reduce our dependence on printed materials. Good for us, good for you, good for the environment.
We consider our work at the Blessings Project Foundation, Inc. both a privilege and an awesome responsibility. It has been a gratifying few years since we started in 2006. We are well pleased with the impact our grantees have made on the world. In all areas, however, from environmental issues to humanitarian efforts and spiritual healing, the need is growing and we invite you to partner with us to make a difference. Your continued support, by way of your participation in Foundation events, your volunteer efforts and financial donations, enables us to create positive change in our local community and across the globe. I hope you’ll explore the website for information about the amazing variety of grass-roots initiatives we’ve chosen and encouraged through our grant process.
Please, tell us what you think, about anything, really, but about the website in particular.
Pepper us with questions. We’re ready and we welcome your feedback.
